Draupadi Murmu was born on 20 June 1958 in a Santhal family in Baidaposi village of Mayurbhanj district of Odisha.
His father's name was Biranchi Narayan Tudu. Both his grandfather and his father were the heads of his village.
She married Shyam Charan Murmu. He had two sons and a daughter.
Unfortunately both the sons and their husbands all three died prematurely at different times.
His daughter is married and lives in Bhubaneswar.
Draupadi Murmu started her professional career as a teacher. After that she gradually entered politics.
India's ruling National Democratic Alliance has declared him as its candidate for the next President of India.
Prior to this, she was the Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021.
