Smriti was only 9 years old when she was picked  by Maharashtra U-15 team and by the time She was only 11 years old  when she was Maharashtra U-19 Team.

Smriti Mandhana”s father and brother played cricket at the district-level, for Sangli. Smriti got inspiration to play cricket from her brother.
